All dressed up and no place to go! Well, we actually had a place to go... and we actually went there. Trouble is, Hayden really didn't want to have anything to do with it!
We had scheduled his first photo session at a local studio. We were supposed to arrive by 3pm for a 45 minute session. From that session we would choose our favorite five pics. Sounds easy enough, right?!
So, we got Hayden all bathed up. We put him in a cool new outfit, a pair of jeans (his first) and a button down shirt (also his first). He put on a nice new pair of shiney white sneakers (another first) and we combed his hair to perfection.
The studio is only across the street and the weather was great today so we just walked over. We arrived at a little before 3 and looked through the books of portraits of al the cooperative babies looking oh so cute.
We got into the room and .... Hayden screamed... and screamed... and screamed. We gave him his pacifier, he screamed. We waited, he screamed. We changed his diaper, he screamed. We fed him his bottle, he screamed.
To make a long story short, he screamed for approximately 43 minutes of his 45 minute photo shoot. When it came time to choose the pics. We had our choice of him screaming while sitting up, screaming while on his stomach, or screaming while I held him on my arm.
The studio was very nice and let us reschedule. We did.
As soon as we got home, angelic Hayden appeared. He just wanted to sit still and look all peaceful. Not a sound was made. He even smiled a few times. He was all dressed up so I figured I'd take a few pics with my cheap lil digital camera. At least we'd have something to show on the blog:

What a handsome little man! Sounds like you guys are really having an interesting time adjusting to being Dads! What a joy to read your stories! I think I will print the one of Hayden all dressed up and take it to the hospital for Great Grandma. Love my morning Hayden fix! Love to all, Aunt Dianne
